Vida International Team

Two young men, trained at the European Bible School in Norway, came to Honduras with a vision to start a mission school. One of these men, from Honduras, told his family of his vision, and they donated a piece of property with a guava plantation and two small buildings on it to the ministry so they could begin the project.

They began their ministry in the summer of 2007. A Bible worker and his family went to the mission in Santa Veracruz del Suyatal, an hour and a half outside the capital, Tegucigalpa, where there was no Adventist presence.

With faith that the Lord was going to bless this work, they invited a North American academy to spend their mission trip there and to work on the renovation of one of the buildings, transforming it into a church. Now the church was ready for the first members.

At the same time another group from the European Bible School came on a mission trip to the new project. Their focus was evangelism work in the surroundings of that lovely community.

Thanks to the efforts of our Bible worker and the mission trip, the first Seventh-day Adventist congregation was formed with seven baptisms and three professions of faith.

Meanwhile, Vida International grew from 2 people to a crew of 10 totally committed members working full time for the service of the Lord. The summer of 2008 was a crucial moment for the project.

With the help of Wildwood and LIGHT, Vida International hosted an intensive month of study.  Seventeen students from Honduras, Nicaragua and France comprised a new education program, the Central American Bible School.

On February 1, 2009, the Bible school offered a more complete, 1-year medical missionary course, where our students were trained to be effective workers for the Lord and to fulfill the great commission that Jesus commanded.

The miracles don’t end there. Someone donated property with a farm, seven houses, a pool and sauna to VIDA International at the end of the summer 2008. The main purpose of this donation is to start a Lifestyle Center where people can be treated and taught to have a life changing experience, improving their health and their spiritual life.

Looking at the need of supporting our missionaries and students, the leaders in this ministry searched for guidance from our Heavenly Father. He presented the opportunity of buying a property with 17 acres of land with a Tamarind plantation. Knowing that there were financial barriers they continued praying and fasting, and once again He opened the way and provided the resources for this transaction to take place.

Now, VIDA international owns a big Tamarind plantation that will be supporting our missionaries and students while they continue serving and saving souls for Christ.
