Health and Healing for India
Throughout India millions of people are suffering from preventable lifestyle related diseases. Scores of people have hypertension and coronary heart disease. India is sadly labeled the “diabetic capital of the world.” Many more suffer from infectious diseases that could easily be prevented by following better sanitary habits. The time is ripe for a massive health education program that will effectively reach everyone in India, regardless of their caste or religious background. For this reason it is our desire to make every church a training school that equips every member to work as a medical missionary, thereby lessening the tremendous burden of disease.
Project History
While studying and working at Living Springs International, Joshua Subhash began to understand the effectiveness of medical missionary work. The lifestyle program in Darjeeling inspired him to become active in this type of ministry. With Jacob Wayd’s encouragement Joshua went to the Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital and received training at the College of Health Evangelism. While listening to the various lectures and praying how he could carry what he learned back to India, God inspired him with the plan of starting at least one home sanitarium in each state utilizing the 3-step plan developed by L.I.G.H.T.

Current News
- A six-month training is finishing at the end of the month in Ranchi
- Several community health expos are scheduled throughout India
Future Plans
- Develop the Journal of Life – a high quality journal that will reach all classes of people with time-proven simple remedies and current research
- Organize a medical seminar to encourage health evangelism throughout India
- Develop a working relationship with the network of Adventist hospitals throughout the country
How You Can Help
1. There is a great need for volunteers to assist this project as teachers. If you feel God’s call to serve, please fill out the teacher application today!
2. We need more help organizing training programs. Many people have asked us to come to their city or state but we need more help coordinating these schools. If you or someone you know is interested in helping us organize more trainings for Hyderabad, New Delhi, Mumbai or any other city please fill out the organize a school link.
3. Please consider adopting a student at $30 per month. This will go directly for their food, lodging, transportation, and books.
