A “Peter and John experience” / “silver and gold have i none”

A medical missionary driver was walking going to our Healthy Food Store when he noticed someone who’s following him. He personally didn’t know who that person was that,so he started to converse with him. After a few exchange of words, this man started to open up, he was in need financially. His wife had stroke 3 years ago and is suffering till this time, they need money for medicine. But what does a missionary driver have? He cannot give him any money, nor any job, but he can offer a free treatment for the wife. Finally the conversation ended, the missionary offered to pay a visit to the man’s house and see what they can do to help his wife. Like the experience of Peter and John they have no silver and gold, but they have Jesus with them.

You can see in the pictures the wife who had stroke with the medical missionaries assisting her. A lot of changes already happened since the time they had their first visit. One great thing about this is that she had already met Jesus and she is now attending church with the medical missionary every Sabbath. please keep on praying for this precious soul.

Project History

Since 1995 teams from the Wildwood Lifestyle Center and Hospital have conducted numerous short health evangelism training programs in various parts of the Philippines. As a result of these efforts the “Better Way Foundation” was established in 1998. For several years the team traveled throughout the islands and conducted health evangelistic work with great success.

But, as time went by a great need developed to establish a permanent training center. So, in 2006, the Better Way Foundation purchased a beautiful tract of land near Laoag City, Illocos Norte and, with the help of some short-term missionaries, constructed a simple building. In early 2008, L.I.G.H.T. asked Alain Bautista and his family to work with the Better Way Foundation with the goal of establishing a permanent health evangelism training school.

Since that time the work has grown rapidly!
