1. Are there any prerequisites for the online course?

Yes. But only a few:

  • Internet access.
  • Command of the English language.
  • Basic understanding of high school or equivalent sciences.
  • Parent/guardian approval if applicant is under 18 years of age.

2. Does the course have a time limit?

Students have one year to complete the course, though most students finish between 2-4 months. After one year, if you are not finished you may add another year to your online school account for a $100 fee.

3. How many hours per week will I need to devote to completing this course?

If you spend only one hour per day you will finish the course in 4 months, if you spend an average of two hours per day you will finish the course in two months.

4. How can I learn hydrotherapy and massage online?

Our hydrotherapy and massage classes are video recorded so you can see each treatment step-by-step. In addition, we offer a one-week intensive training at Wildwood Lifestyle Center & Hospital.

5. Is the one-week intensive required?

No, it is optional but highly recommended.

6. What is the cost of the one-week intensive?

It is $600, which includes accommodations, delicious vegetarian meals, and all materials needed for the classes.

7. Do I need to buy any books for this online course?

No, all class manuals are downloadable in PDF format. If you would like a printed copy of our Essentials of Health Evangelism Training Manual you can have it sent to you for $30.

8. How is the testing conducted?

Most of the classes have a test or quiz at the end of each lesson. There are no final exams for this course.

9. What can I do with my training after I’m finished?

Graduates will be able to first apply what they have learned in their own personal and home life. Next, this course trains our graduates to get involved in health ministries at their local church and community. This would include leading out in community health expos, cooking classes, health seminars and door-to-door health ministry. Finally, we challenge our graduates to contribute to the needs of foreign mission field. LIGHT has several international projects that we work with and support, and can arrange for our online graduates to visit one of these projects for a one-month mission trip. Further opportunities with LIGHT ministry can open up following this mission trip experience!

10. Is it possible to continue my course if I travel or move?

The beauty of an online course is that a person can take it wherever they are as long as there is internet access.

11. Is there a particular time in which the online course starts?

Our online course starts at any time. Simply fill out the application, make payment, and start as soon as possible!

12. Is each student assigned a specific instructor during the course?

We do not assign a specific instructor for each student, but rather for each class. Each teacher is happy to communicate with individual students as often as they need.

13. What if I decide this course is not for me? Can I get a refund?

If the course does not meet your expectations for whatever reason, you can request a full refund within 7 days.
